Wood color and grain can however vary from the photos.
Each order has a mix of beech, cherry and maple wood. We use 100% natural hardwood for our soap dishes! Each soap dish has been hand sanded on all the edges, therefor creating a soft elegant look and feel.
We offer the option to coat each soap dish with mineral oil used for cutting boards which brings out the wood grain. The oil does not waterproof them but ultimately bring out the beautiful wood grain. Now the oil does make the wood in the soap dishes darker.
All products made out of wood will need maintenance. Soap dishes made out of wood could absorb water. If the soap dish curves/warps, clean the soap dish good. this would be the perfect time to also clean off any soap scum. Let the soap dish dry and it should go back to its normal shape. After it is dry, you can apply oil used on cutting boards if you choose. Some have 2 soap dishes so they can use one while the other dries.
